There are two grounds under which you can appeal if you are not happy with a school place.
1. If the school has not applied it's admissions process properly eg. if the school's policy is to give priority to siblings but your child was not offered a space despite having a sibling at the school, OR
2. When the harm done by your child by not getting a place there will be greater than that caused to other children by overcrowding eg. religious/family circumstances, special needs or health matters, school transport, language specialisms, emotional reasons.
For any appeal, you will need to back up your appeal with the necessary evidence and remain truthful as you will be questioned at the hearing.
