Case Study: Canada to Kent

Managing Director of a Software Development Company based in Canada, with his wife, three children (aged 4 months, 2 years and 4 years) and a dog.

Company move from Edmonton (Canada) to the UK, to set up a London office. Required a family home with countryside nearby, which was a maximum of one hour commute to Canary Wharf. A place in Reception at a local village school was required from September. Amenities needed to be in walking distance, due to not having a car.

Various options were discussed in terms of a location, but Sevenoaks was selected as it had everything they required, plus suitable properties within their allocated budget.

A State and Private School Search was required due to the short notice provided - unfortunately there were large waiting lists for all at such a late stage. Sheer persistence paid off in the end - a place was negotiated at a state village Primary School in Seal and a fantastic family home was found in the area.

The property was slightly over their original budget but their entire wish-list was fulfilled. It was a small village, with everything within walking distance, lots of open space for the dog and children, with a space reserved in the local Pre-School for their son, and, a place in the local Primary School for their daughter. Pet advice was provided for the safe transport of their family dog.
